You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

I knew entering into a phase of separation that I was going to have to lean on God more than I ever had and I have, but I didn’t realize this process was going to be as hard as it has been.
Many times in life I process events with God but many times with this, I couldn’t process something at all and I just had to let God completely handle it. That of course was after agonizing way too long.

Those who wait upon the Lord will be renewed.
God will fight for you. You need only to stand still.
These have been what the Lord has been teaching me.

He doesn’t want to be our co-pilot. He wants to be our pilot, our parachute and our plane itself. He wants to be everything we depend on. Maybe I’m stubborn but I’m definitely a survivor and fighter. That has developed in me a will to battle through any hell for goodness so it’s been difficult to let go of all that and be willing to fall with God as my parachute.

So, while I encourage you not to give up and to know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, sometimes the only thing we need to do, is give it to Him.

Several people have shown me through this separation process what it looks like for someone to stand in the gap for you and that has taught me how to let God stand in the gap.

I understood to let Jesus stand in the gap for my salvation because I could NEVER attain salvation but I was conditioned to believing everything else was my full responsibility but the ways of God and the ways of man do not reconcile. We can not find a balance because they contradict. It’s either man’s way or God’s way.

Contradictions = turmoil. God = purity = peace

I was riding the fence even in my race toward God.

You’ve been traumatized but the Lord wants to show you His grace. So maybe sometimes instead of saying you can do all things, we need to say, God can do all things.

While if it’s the case, He may have given your spouse over to their evil ways, If God has delivered you from it, He doesn’t want your heart and mind running back to it.

Question of the week; In your independence of running your home, what has been the biggest win when it comes to the endless “I can’t do it all on my own?”
Granted we have Christ and He will empower us to do what He says we need to. Nevertheless we still have that overwhelming nag that it’s not possible to do all we wish as single or primarily single parents.
Me personally, I’m a single mom, homeschooling my daughter so I struggle to find employment that I can do while having my daughter with me that pays enough to pay the bills. Then after working and doing everything we need to for our kids and homeschooling I try to keep up with cleaning and the maintenance of the house.
I know this is similar to most single parents so what are your nuggets of wisdom?
