As long as there are injustices, unfair stigmas, unfair treatment and the lack of equality for humans that are struggling with homelessness, we will be here- being their voice to speak up on their behalf and try to bring about change. Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met!

Friends, yesterday was a blur! Word always travels fast when we start to set up- and before we knew it, we served 100 nacho meals in 45 minutes! Our volunteers greeted everyone with a smile and helped them customize their nachos with the toppings of their choice: salsa, jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and some nacho cheese sauce!

In a time when our friends are being criminalized for simply living outdoors, it’s more important than ever that we make sure they know we see them, we hear them, and we love them!

Our friends at Hope & a Prayer was there with a ton of clothing and shoes for our friends to fill their needs, and Ms Judy showed up without delay with shelf stable snacks that our friends have come to love!

Do you want to help but can’t volunteer due to work or other commitments? Donations are a great way to be part of the cause! If you are donating from home please make sure clothes are season appropriate and in good condition. If you are wanting to buy and then donate you can always check our Amazon wishlist or reach out to see what an immediate need is. Helping us help others. ♥️

Today was a whirlwind- and not just because of the winds sweeping down the plains in true Oklahoma fashion! Our friends at the chickenshackrt66 brought us 125 HUGE meals for our friends! Thank you to Mr Eddie for the generous donation and Tom for delivering. Your kindness is such a blessing! Our friends were so excited- so much so that our meals were gone in 40ish minutes! Thank you for providing a hearty meal- they raved about it and likened it to their mama’s homecooked chicken!

Y’all, as a locally owned business, this was a big undertaking. So go check them out and let them know how much YOU appreciate them supporting US in our homelessness outreach!

This weather has been quite the roller coaster lately. Summer temps one day, then crazy wind chills and howling winds the next. It’s frustrating to us, but imagine being outside and dealing with that. No shelter, no reprieve and no way to stay safe through it all.

Then take it a step further and imagine the ONE place you can go to take refuge from the elements has THIS sign on it. Shelters aren’t always close by OR have a space for a person. Our state has to do better for these folks; they’re Oklahomans too and deserve to have their basic needs met. When it’s hot, buy an extra bottled water at the gas station and pass it on to a friend. When it’s cold, buy an extra coffee or hot chocolate. Pass on the kindness and a bit of comfort when it’s needed most.

A scheduling snafu caused us to pivot, but we made it happen! Loving and uplifting- the two things we set out to do at every outreach. These things are shown in many different ways. Sometimes it’s just a smile, a hug, or even a request for prayer.

As cliche as it may sound, filling bellies fills our souls. We are called to love everyone, and serving is our love language. A hot meal, some snacks, an extra dessert or drink for later- whatever can be done to make life a bit easier for our unhoused friends as they navigate their current circumstances, we are all for it!

Yesterday was cold, but the chili, hot cocoa and coffee were HOT! Shout out to our friends at First United Bank - OKC Downtown for sponsoring our February outreach as part of their United Acts of Kindness! It’s become quite the tradition that we look forward to each year! We served up chili and all the fixins to 90 of our unhoused friends! We had a snack table fully stocked, as well as our hygiene station!
