This is our biggest event of the year when it is a national effort to build as many beds as possible across the country... The Oklahoma City chapter alone has built nearly 500 beds over the years.. and this year we will make it to that 500 mark. After two weekends of delivering a total of 21 beds to some seriously excited kids on this unruly summer heat. We can honestly say we have officially served over 900 kids in our service area since we started this amazing journey.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from SHP! 🇺🇸

Tonight 🎆 as fireworks light up the sky 🎆 we celebrate freedom, community, and the belief that every child deserves a safe, comfy place to rest their head.

This year, that celebration means even more. As part of our nation's 250th birthday, we've launched 250 for 250: our campaign to build and deliver 1,000 beds for kids sleeping on the floor. Because the American Dream starts with a good night's sleep.

Just $250 gives one child a safe, sturdy bed they can call their own for years to come.

A real bed means real rest; for growing bodies and minds, that makes all the difference. Good sleep supports a child's physical health, emotional wellbeing, and ability to thrive at school. It also gives them something many of us take for granted: pride and dignity in owning something that's truly theirs.

This isn't just a bed. It's a long-term investment in a child's future, and in the strength of our communities for years to come.

We recently celebrated a monumental milestone: five incredible years as an Oklahoma chapter. That represents five years of ensuring children in Oklahoma City have a safe place to sleep, five years of providing handmade beds, and five years of receiving overwhelming love and support from local businesses, churches, and individuals.
As chapter president, I will admit there were moments early on when I wasn't sure we would make it to today. Yet, because of your unwavering dedication, we did more than survive—we grew. Together, we have blessed nearly 900 children with brand-new, handmade beds. Your hands, your hearts, and your profound compassion for this community speak volumes.
