This weekend at HMCC was truly something special. 🌙✨

We gathered with our brothers around a table full of goodness — fresh fish, grilled chicken and vegetables, rice, hummus and bread, salad, sweet treats, and refreshing tea. Every dish told a story of care, generosity, and shared joy.

The space carried a beautiful Eid atmosphere, with a tablescape that felt warm, welcoming, and full of meaning. It wasn’t just a meal — it was fellowship, dignity, and community in action.

To our incredible donors: thank you. Because of you, moments like this are possible. On behalf of the men and women we serve, we pray you are abundantly rewarded for your generosity. 💛

Charles “Sonny” Burton will live.

By the power of Allah, hearts can be turned toward mercy. Today we witnessed that mercy unfold as Alabama Governor Kay Ivey commuted the death sentence of Charles “Sonny” Burton.

What once stood at the edge of death has been given life. What once seemed certain has been changed by the power of prayer, faith, and perseverance.

During this Month of Mercy, we are reminded that Allah is the Turner of hearts and that compassion can prevail even in the most difficult moments.

A life spared.
A future reclaimed.

We give thanks to Allah and gratitude to all who prayed, advocated, and stood in faith for mercy.

Oklahoma Muslim Prison Support stands in support of the children and families impacted by incarceration across our state. These children often carry challenges that go unseen, and they deserve compassion, stability, and community support.

We recognize and support the advocates and organizations raising awareness today at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

This Ramadan, we are working towards Eid Dinner for incarcerated Muslims.

Please consider either donating towards funding this Eid Dinner (just $12 can fund an incarcerated person’s Eid dinner) or signing up to join us for Eid Dinner. Those who sign up for the dinner must pass OK Department of Corrections screening before being approved to come.

This past Sunday, we had the joy of working with young Muslim author Umar Aslam to put on a kid’s reading corner starring his book “Kids for Kindness.”

This Ramadan, we are reminded that faith is not just prayers, it is good practice.

After Taraweeh at ISGOC, tomorrow, Wednesday the 25th, Oklahoma Muslim Prison Support will share how we are serving our brothers and sisters incarcerated in Oklahoma and how you can help.

Allah commands us to remember those who are restrained and locked away.
Let us not forget them in a month of mercy.

Come prepared. Come aware. Come ready to act.
