Missionary Beauty Yarngo, Founder of The Beauty of Christ, dedicated time to personally shop for essential supplies in support of the School for the Deaf in Liberia. With a heart for service and compassion, she carefully selected and prepared items needed to strengthen both learning and daily life for the students.

The donated items, including food supplies and educational materials, were later distributed directly to the children at the school. The moment of distribution was filled with joy, gratitude, and smiles as the students received support that will help them in their daily needs and education.

This act of service reflects The Beauty of Christ’s ongoing commitment to standing with vulnerable communities and ensuring that children, regardless of circumstance, have access to care, dignity, and opportunities to learn and grow.

The President/Founder of The Beauty of Christ, Missionary Yarngo, was honored to visit the School of the Deaf in Liberia, where she received an incredibly warm and touching welcome from the students and staff.

One of the most memorable moments was the presentation of beautiful flowers carefully crafted from tree leaves by the students, a creative gesture that reflected their talent, appreciation, and hospitality.

During the visit, The Beauty of Christ donated bags of rice, books, educational learning materials, and Bibles to support both the physical and spiritual needs of the students. We are grateful for the opportunity to share God’s word, and we give thanks that 92 children gave their lives to Christ during this powerful and moving moment.

While we were thankful to provide support, the needs of the school remain significant. The students and staff continue to require additional educational materials, food supplies, and essential resources to create a stronger learning environment. We encourage individuals, organizations, and well-wishers to join us in supporting these remarkable children and helping them reach their full potential.

Today we celebrate a truly compassionate doctor whose kindness goes beyond the clinic. Together with his incredibly supportive staff, he has donated essential supplies like toothpaste to underprivileged kids and families in Liberia, West Africa helping communities not only stay healthy but also keep their smiles bright. In Beipa Village, far from Monrovia, this small library built by the Beauty of Christ represents hope for children eager to learn. Reaching the village was difficult and dangerous, highlighting its isolation. Inside, the reading center lacks enough books, space, and basic facilities, showing the urgent need to improve resources so these children can have better opportunities for the future.

The Price of Following Jesus

We know from Scripture that salvation is a free gift that Jesus gives us when we believe in Him. But just because our salvation is free—that doesn’t mean the rest of our lives with Jesus will cost us nothing as well.

Jesus says that following Him will cost us everything. This doesn’t mean that we have to earn our salvation or work for acceptance, but it does mean that following Jesus requires everything we have.

When we become disciples of Jesus, we follow in His footsteps. We let Jesus teach and guide us. If we are serious about this, then our lives will become patterned after His life. This means that just as Jesus took up a cross and gave up everything He had, by following Jesus we must also do the same.

So what does it mean to take up a cross and follow Jesus? It means that we should be ready to give up everything for the sake of Jesus. It means denying ourselves by surrendering our own desires and plans for God’s desires and plans. Rather than focusing on ourselves, we center our lives around God’s mission in the world: loving Him and loving others as we make disciples.

Taking up one’s cross isn’t easy, but there is nothing in this life that is better than following Jesus. While immediate pleasure often feels more desirable in the moment, it quickly fades and leaves us searching for more. No possession or position can lead to true satisfaction in life—that is found only in Jesus.

Take a moment to think about your life. Are there things that you’re holding onto that you would be hesitant to surrender to Jesus? Are there relationships that serve your own desires rather than God’s? Commit to following Jesus regardless of how difficult or challenging life might become. The cross, while painful, is temporary—abundant life with Jesus is eternal.
