❤️🐾 A LITTLE LOVE GOES A LONG WAY. 🐾
After work today, I headed out to Southwest OKC to deliver dry clothes, blankets, and sack lunches to our friends on the streets. I was able to help multiple people, and y’all, so many were hungry! 🥹❤️
With all the rain we’ve had, so many of our friends are struggling. Their clothes and blankets are wet, their belongings are ruined, and finding a meal isn’t always easy. I’m just grateful we were able to show up and help where we could.
But there was one moment today that absolutely melted my heart. ❤️
You see that dog right there? I posted about him a few days ago. This sweet boy has been following different homeless individuals all over Southwest OKC, but he has never really allowed anyone to get close enough to touch him.
But today… 🥹🐾
There he was, curled up in a blanket beside his new friend, his person, I guess you could say. He looked so comfortable and peaceful. The man simply reached down and started petting him, and this sweet boy just laid there. He didn’t move away. He didn’t run. He just let himself be loved.
Y’ALL, MY HEART! ❤️😭
Watching this dog finally feel safe enough to accept love was such a beautiful reminder that trust takes time. Sometimes, all it takes is patience, kindness, and someone willing to show up.
And that’s what this mission is about. It’s not just sack lunches, blankets, or getting people through another cold, rainy day. It’s about relationships. It’s about dignity. It’s about showing people that they matter and that they haven’t been forgotten.
I also had the pleasure of running into the amazing Long family, who were out doing the very same thing! ❤️ I’m so grateful for this dynamic duo and their hearts for our community. There’s something special about seeing other people out there spreading love and making a difference.
Thank you to everyone who supports Bagz of Luv. Every donation, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps us continue showing up for our friends on the streets. We couldn’t do this without you!
We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can make a difference in someone’s world. Sometimes, that difference looks like a sack lunch. Sometimes, it’s a warm blanket. And sometimes, it’s watching a scared little dog finally trust someone enough to let them pet him.
❤️ One meal. One blanket. One connection. One life touched at a time.
Sometimes, the smallest moments are the biggest blessings. 🙏🐾❤️
