Probono Grief Support for Bereaved Parents & Other Losses

Probono Grief Support for Bereaved Parents & Other Losses Deb Lee Gould, MEd, is a bereaved parent since 1985 and a Grief Consultant since 1991. Support is offered early in grief or many years down the road.

Deb Lee Gould, MEd, is a bereaved parent since 1985 and a Grief Consultant in Okemos, MI. As a community outreach, she offers local pro bono one-on-one grief support to parents and other adult family members and friends living with the Death of a Child of ANY age and from ANY cause. She also supports the impending loss/death of a spouse/partner, parent, sibling and other loved ones. Zoom and phone

support is also offered for those in the US outside the East Lansing, MI area. Deb received her Masters in Counseling in 1993 with a specialization in Grief Counseling. She is also Co-Founder (1991) and Director of an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit and international Family Support Group for rare metabolic disorders (www.fodsupport.org), as well as an ordained non-denominational spiritual counselor. All spiritual beliefs (or your non-beliefs) are respected. Deb's holistic and integrative counseling/consulting/spiritual philosophy entails more of a 'growth and healing' model for proactively transforming one’s grief versus the medical model of diagnosing and medically treating a mental illness. She does not pathologize normal grief. However, she often refers to other mental health and medical professionals if specific issues (ie., PTSD, grief depression moves to clinical depression, etc.) may benefit from that extra support and/or treatment. No fees are charged for Grief Support ~ however, donations are always appreciated and will benefit the FOD Family Support Group (Tax ID # 83-0471342). Contact Deb at [email protected]

Thanksgiving Day:
I’m here, trying to move through a day that the rest of the world calls “grateful.”
And I am grateful for what I still have—
but I’m also grieving what I will never get back.
Both truths sit at the same table today.
