🗓 Physicals, Parent Kick-off Dinner & Equipment Handout

Hi, Okemos Youth Football Families!
📖 Please read; there is a lot of important information below!
Now that the season is almost upon us, you can expect a weekly email from the board. These emails will keep you up to date on organization-wide events and reminders. Your coaches and team managers will communicate team-specific updates.
📲 Band App
We utilize Band for communications. Please be sure to join the main Okemos Youth Football Band group. Be on the lookout for specific team-related invites as well!
🩺 Sports Physicals
All athletes must submit a physical by August 17th to participate in practices. Similar to last year, we are only accepting physicals electronically. They can be submitted anytime. The earlier, the better! MHSAA Form can be found here.
To submit, please select the link below for your athlete’s team grade level. If you have multiple athletes playing, you will submit a form for each athlete.
Please note that a physical must be on file electronically before a helmet will be provided.

🍝 3rd Annual 1W1F Kick-off Dinner 🍕
Friday, August 7th at 6pm.
A potluck dinner at the Okemos High School Cafeteria. This is for all players and their families. There will be Youth Parent Team meetings following dinner. Please volunteer to help bring an item to share. Thank you so much for helping!

🏈 Equipment Handout
Sunday, August 9th on the tennis courts at Kinawa. Helmets, shoulder pads, and practice jerseys will be sized and distributed to players.
🚨 A physical must be on file electronically to receive a helmet, but the player will be sized, and a helmet will be reserved.
The schedule is as follows:
5:30 pm: 8th grade
6:15 pm: 7th grade
7:00 pm: 5th/6th grades
7:30 pm: 3rd/4th grades

Sunday, August 30th at the High School Football Stadium. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to team picture time. More details to follow.
