We talk a lot about "finding a village" and how hard it is to survive without support. But I’ve learned that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is stop looking for the village and decide to BE the village for someone else. 🏘️❤️

We have adopted two local families navigating unique challenges who need us this Christmas.

These parents are fighting battles many of us can’t imagine. They are managing so much, often without the resources to just take a breath.

We have until THIS FRIDAY (Dec 12th) to finish our drive! 🎄
We are so close, but we still have a few specific items to check off to make this happen.

We are collecting for: 🎨 Art Supplies (for creativity & calm) 💄 Makeup sets 🧥 Hoodies 🎁 Gift Cards

​We have been quietly busy over the last few months, focusing deeply on the work that happens off-screen. But as we enter December, we felt called to return to this space because this specific season brings unique challenges to the community we serve.

🌲​While the holidays are often painted as a time of universal joy, for families navigating mental and physical disabilities, December can actually be the most difficult month of the year.

​Consider this:
❄️ The disruption of routine: For individuals on the spectrum or those with anxiety, the lack of school structure and the unpredictability of holiday events can be destabilizing rather than exciting.

❄️ Sensory Overload: The flashing lights, loud music, and crowded stores that signal 'celebration' to some can be physically painful barriers to others.

❄️ The 'Disability Tax': The financial strain of specialized care, therapies, and dietary needs doesn't pause just because it’s Christmas.

​We are back on your feed not just to post, but to shine a light on these realities.

We are here to remind our families that it is okay to modify traditions, it is okay to skip the loud parties, and it is okay to prioritize peace over perfection.
