You are NOT alone!
You don’t need flashbacks or nightmares to “count.”
Sometimes trauma shows up in quieter ways.
Constant anxiety.
Emotional numbness.
Overreacting to small things.
Feeling exhausted all the time.
Needing to isolate.
Being stuck in survival mode even when life looks “fine” from the outside.
Not all trauma responses are loud.
Some slowly eat away at your life one day at a time.
If you’ve been brushing off the stuff in this list because it doesn’t feel “serious enough,” consider this your sign that your nervous system has been carrying too much for too long.
You are not weak.
You are not dramatic.
You are not broken.
Your pain does not have to become catastrophic before it deserves attention.
