ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
First time homebuyers only (not having ownership interest in the past three years).
Applicant must have a pre-qualification letter from the mortgage lender.

The 2024 Florida Association of Counties (FAC) Legislative Conference was held in Tampa December 4-6, 2024 which brought FAC members together to debate, finalize, and vote on the Association's policy priorities for 2025.

Commissioner Burroughs, President of FAC with other attendees made up of county leaders, emergency management experts, and public safety professionals, discussed the importance of local governance and disaster resilience strategies for Florida's counties.

The “New Commissioner Bootcamp”, held today was attended by 44 new commissioners and was followed by a conference wide luncheon featuring Ken Graham, Director of NOAA's National Weather Service sharing his insights on disaster.

The conference ended on Friday with the election of Susan Adams, Indian River County Commissioner to the position of 2nd Vice-President of FAC. Additionally, President Burroughs presented the slate of legislative priorities developed by the policy committees and also announced the creation of Preemption Committee which will be focused on a long term commitment to work along side of the State legislators assisting with identifying pros and cons of potential preemptive bills that maybe introduced. Finally, the FAC calendar was introduced under the theme of “Stormy Skies”.
