Florida Equine Disaster Response Through our efforts, we can save lives and prevent the suffering of horses and humans in the state of Florida.

Our mission is to assist the Florida equine community in times of disaster by increasing disaster preparedness awareness, providing evacuation assistance when needed, distributing critical supplies during times of crisis, and working with our government and community to provide recovery relief following a disaster.

🚨VOLUNTEERS WANTED⛑️

Posted by Gina Ansaldo:::As many of you know, I am now the zone 4 Coordinator for the Florida Equine Disaster Response team.
That means I will be covering Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties.🐴

FLEDR is a Florida non-profit organization created to help horses during natural disasters.
Our mission at Florida Equine Disaster Response is to support the equine community in times of disaster by increasing disaster preparedness awareness, providing evacuation assistance, distributing critical supplies, and working with our government and community to provide recovery relief following a disaster🌪️🔥⚡️

This goes hand in hand with my equine first aid training & my passion for helping others and their horses!❤️

I will be looking for volunteers to join my team to assist where needed. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering for such a great cause!! Any little bit is greatly appreciated.

Volunteer Jobs Include any of the following:

•Support during donation drives
•Donation of items/ services to be used in raffles
•Transport of donated items
•Assist during distribution
•Transport of horses during evacuation (must have truck/trailer)
•Temporary Evacuation boarding during severe weather/ emergencies
•Rescues if necessary
•Debris removal if you have heavy equipment
•Assisting with evacuation routes/communication

Remember, during a time of emergencies our community needs us to work together to keep everyone and all horses safe & fed!
