It’s plant sale week! 🪴 Do you have perennials that need splitting? Doing some landscaping this spring and have perennials in the way? We’ll take them! Plants can be dropped off in the driveway next to Gather in Okawville. We have LOTS of spare pots if you need them!

All proceeds of our perennial plant sale go to garden improvements and maintenance.

And if you want to get involved, just shoot us a message! We have so many wonderful projects coming up!

What a fun little idea! And don’t forget about our plant sale happening April 12! Pots will be outside of Gather. Okawville LLC next week if you need them for anything you’re digging up. Plant donations can be dropped off next to the coffee shop anytime next week. Your donations of perennials, plant starts, houseplants, etc will help to fund additional improvements to the garden 💚 Thank you!

🤩 Exciting new updates are happening in the garden this spring!

The property is now privately owned, however, it is still open for public enjoyment thanks to Kathy and Russel Shubert. This new project will include native species, lots of perennials, and areas full of 4-H and FFA projects. The Shuberts and all clubs involved understand the importance of environmental education and we cannot wait to share it with you!

Hopeful news: The eastern monarch butterfly population nearly doubled in 2025, according to a new report announced in Mexico. The population wintering in central Mexico's forests occupied 4.42 acres of forest, up from 2.22 acres during the previous winter. 🌱 Exciting new things are blooming in the garden this spring! More native plants, community education opportunities with 4-H and FFA, chances for youth involvement, and so much more! If you’re interested in getting involved, reach out! We will once again be hosting a perennial and houseplant sale in April, so please think of us when you’re making plans to split those hostas, cannas, lillies, etc and start propagating that pathos that’s getting out of control 😜 Follow us for more!
