To keep all people safe – clients, volunteers, staff, general public – we are making some programming changes effective today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Deep Well Food Pantry
- In-person shopping is temporarily suspended.
- As always, food assistance must be scheduled the prior work day, and people can only get food assistance once per 4 weeks.
- When you have registered for food pick up your food at the pantry door. Remain in your car, and someone will come outside to check you in and put your food straight into the car.
- No special food orders, each family will receive the same type items and we will adjust for large size families.
- Due to greatly reduced people resources, we can only do a delivery if there is an extreme situation. Recruit a friend or neighbor to come pick up your food at the Pantry door.
- If you are a new client to Deep Well and we’ve never provided assistance, you will need to first complete an application to register – see Emergency Financial aid instructions below on where you can get a form to register.
Emergency Financial Aid
- Please call in and speak to Deep Well personnel about your situation, Monday – Friday, 9 – 5.
843-785-2849 If you do come to the Deep Well office, there will be a form in our lobby for you to fill out and return to Deep Well. Please complete this form in your car, or from home, so the lobby remains clear of people. -Livable Housing program has suspended new applications and ongoing projects will continue as volunteers are available. We will keep our Furniture Room open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 3-5 pm as long as possible. Remember to bring your voucher. VITA Free Income Tax Assistance on Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm will continue as long as we have specially trained volunteers.
