Three dogs lost their home through no fault of their own, and all three are now safe with us and will be available for adoption soon. They are not bonded, but they arrived together after their owner received an eviction notice. Each one has their own personality, their own needs, and their own story, and each one deserves a soft place to land.

Charlie — 3‑year‑old spayed Chihuahua mix, about 17 lbs. Happy, social, and greets you with her whole heart.

Missy — 1.5‑year‑old spayed Min Pin mix, about 21 lbs. Shy at first, but melts beautifully once she knows you’re gentle.

Jazz — neutered male chocolate Lab, around 99 lbs. Still decompressing, but safe and settling in thanks to an emergency foster.

When these dogs were surrendered on short notice and needed updated vaccines, Okanogan Regional Humane rearranged their schedule to help both the owner and our rescue. Their team always shows up for the animals in our community, offering affordable spay/neuter, emergency care, and rescue partnerships that save lives. I’ll add their full mission in the comments.

A huge thank-you to Racie, who stepped up as an emergency foster for Jazz when he needed a safe place immediately. Her kindness made all the difference.

These three will each get their own separate updates and adoption posts, but for now, we wanted to share their faces and let everyone know they’re safe, loved, and preparing for their next chapter.

If you can’t adopt, please share. Your share might be the one that brings them home.

Okanogan Regional Humane is proud to announce a major milestone: 10,000 spay and neuter surgeries performed!

Reducing the number of unwanted litters helps reduce the burden on overcrowded shelters and rescues, and helps more animals find safe, loving homes.

Thank you so much to our wonderful staff, veterinary partners, volunteers, donors and community members who have made this milestone possible!

ORH is a registered 501c3 non-profit funded entirely by donations. Our services are provided free of charge for low-income residents of Okanogan County and neighboring areas without access to other resources.

Cool cats get neutered. Cool cats also go to school to get educated. Stay in school kids or you'll end up like this guy.

Call or visit Okanogan Regional Humane to schedule your cat or dog so they can be cool too.

Spaying and neutering your pet is important because it prevents unwanted litters, improves health by reducing cancer risks, and stops troublesome behaviors like roaming.

Be a part of the solution and help turn off the faucet off unwanted or unexpected litters. Schedule your kitty's or puppy's spay or neuter appointment today by calling us at 509-422-9960.

MEET WINONA

Winona is ready to leave the past in the past and move forward with her new forever family. Winona was brought into our care as part of a hoarding situation last September. She has seen all of her friends come and go to their new families and is ready for her turn.

Miss Winona is sweet as can be but can be standoffish with new people. She loves to play especially if it involves water or a laser. She is the most curious of the bunch, always watching the staff from her hammock to see if they have any treats or toys. She isn't too big on being picked up quite yet but she loves attention as long as you don't overwhelm her and loves to take treats out of your hand. Winona can be very protective over her little group but is the most apt to go towards human attention.

Winona is everything you could want in a couch companion. She is treat focused, toy-loving, and loyal to a fault. She is a little weary of strangers at first but once she knows you bring treats she wont leave you alone.

Could you be part of the next chapter in her journey?
Call us or apply on petfinder to schedule a meet and greet to see if you are a match with this beautiful girl. Please share to help Winona find her forever family.
