Hello everyone,

I haven’t heard back from many people interested in the Hamfest tailgate this Saturday in Pateros. I’ll be posting pictures of some of the cool items that will be available.

For those who know Robert E. Sanderson (K7AUC) of Pateros—he is currently in an assisted living home in Omak and is in the late stages of dementia. I’ve been entrusted to sell or give away his radio gear. Robert also served as a technician for the TV district, and he has a wide range of testing equipment. Much of this will be donated to anyone who can use it.

Come take a look at what we have—first come, first served.

I’m also downsizing my own ham shack and will have solid-state amps, tuners, an Ameritron AL 80 B, some Kenwood dual-band radios, switches, testing equipment, coax, connectors and plenty of other great items available.

Anything worthwhile that doesn’t sell will be taken to the Wenatchee Hamfest in June.

I could really use some company, so come on down—we’ll BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers. Tell stories and swap out some ham gear

QST QST QST- We’re bringing back the Pateros Hamfest on the River!

Join us on May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the free parking area off Highway 153 in Pateros.

This great event has been going on for years, and the W7ORC club is excited to revive it. It’s a relaxed tailgate hamfest, so bring your canopies, set up for the day, or camp for the weekend if you’d like. Free dry camping will be available the weekend before Memorial Day. Bring that used Ham gear you want to get rid of!!

We’re hoping to have plenty of used ham radio gear for sale, and the best part is — it’s all free to set up.

Please contact me for more information and RSVP so we have an idea of who is coming.
There will probably be a BBQ potluck as before if we have any interest in that.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a missing person case (26D00552). Erik Luna, 18, was last seen by his family in Bridgeport on Friday, February 6, 2026, around 6 pm.
