Well, summer is gone and the first of the year is almost here. AOk has had a great year, even though the wildfires were horrendous. Our hearts go out to all of the people affected by the fire and all of the brave and wonderful firefighters who fought so courageously to save our homes, our animals and belongings. We owe them more than words or anything else can say. As some of you know, all of the supplies for Apple Hill Art camp were lost in the fire when Jody Olson and family lost everything but their lives to the wildfire. They are asking for some financial support from all who can to help replace those supplies. Without which Art Camp cannot continue. AOk, because of their success the last couple of years has been able to donate some monies to them to help insure that Apple Hill Art camp will continue to go on and grow as it has been growing for a number of years now. That's what AOk is all about. We are a service organization within our community. Please join us in our journey.
Three of our members are showing art at The Main Street gallery right now until December 15, 2015. They are Vera Zachow, Esther Hinger and Barbara Conner-Reed. Check out their show.

We have one more meeting or rather get together this year on December 2, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Breadline Restaurant in Omak. It is a very pleasant way to end the year. Please feel free to join us. if you are interested, please email Barbara Conner-Reed at [email protected]. We have our own website but I don't have direct access to it and can't guarantee I will get the message so email me at the address above and I will respond within 24 hrs. Love to see you there.

Art in the Park and Paint the town were a huge success. We have three artists prizes that were never picked up. They will be held until the end of august. Contact Corina at Havillah Press if you were a winner and did not get your prize. She is keeping them there. Artists of the Okanogan are on their summer hiatis and will begin there monthly meetings again on August 26th. Please join us at the Omak city Hall at 6:00 PM the fourth Wednesday of each month except July and December. We are also looking for someone to donate a small storage unit for AOk. We need a place to store our pop-ups, tables and storage containers. A 6 x 8 would be perfect. AOk also needs about 6 or so folding chairs in good condition. Since we are non-profit, donations are readily exceptable and tax deductable. Contact Barbara at 422-9774.
Storage unit must be in the Okanogan/Omak area and easily accessible. Thanks, Barbara
