The Italian American Club of the Plantation at Leesburg is founded on 3 pillars - Charitable Giving, Appreciation of the Italian Culture, and Socialization.

Each Pillar represents a focus of the IAC@PAL.

The 2023 Cinco De Mayo Party was a huge success. Over 100 members celebrate the evening which included a full menu of chicken and beef, tortillas, street corn salad, beans, as well as salsa and guacamole - ALL HOMEMADE plus two tables of desseerts. The evening included a Mariachi Band, A pinata, and a game of Cinco de Mayo Family Fued and guitar playing to Mexican music..

Sunday, February 20th, the Plantation IAC will hold it's Annual Sausage Sandwich Event at the PAvilion from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Tickets are still only $7.00 per person.

The Annual "Nite at the Races" will be held on January 9th at the Manor.

There will be 10 races, 2 Daily Doubles, and Prizes. Entrance Fee is still ONLY $5.00 which includes your entry ticket, a slice of pizza, and a "Late Daily Double" ticket. Parimuteul Betting format will be used for each race.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the IAC's $1,000 Lake County High School Scholarship Program. Last year we awarded two $1,000 scholarships.

We are pleased to announce the IAC Scholarship Committee has selected two graduating HS Seniors from the year’s applicants for our $1,000 Scholarships.

The IAC will start back up beginning with our September 17th meeting at 11:00 am in Ashley Hall. The IAC Social-Cultural Committee has planned activities for the next Club year beginning with a pizza and BINGO event on October 9th in the Pavilion.

Thank you to the 225 people who purchased Sausage, Peppers, and Onion sandwiches on Sunday. You participation will help the IAC fund our Scholarship Program and the local work of our Charitable Giving Committee.

Sausage Sandwich Sunday Sale has been rescheduled to Sunday January 17th.

Tickets may be purchased at all Plantation Activity Centers.

The Italian American Club had two major dinner events in September that were well attended. On September 22nd over 80 people participated in our Annual "Not-So-Progressive" Family Dinner. The food everyone prepared was stellar and the competition was high during the Family Feud Game which determined the order the "families" would go to the dessert table. 30 people attended our September "Out to Dinner" on September 26th at Francesco's in Summerfield. Everyone enjoyed the food and conversations.

UPCOMING OCTOBER EVENTS include...
> The IAC Olympics Pancake Breakfast on October 11th to benefit the IAC Scholarship Fund. The club awards $1,000 scholarships to local high school graduates annually.
> The Annual IAC "White Elephant Sale" on October 26th benefits the IAC Charitable Giving Committee's work. Last year, the IAC donated over $4,000 to local charities which included supporting homeless shelters, food pantries, Children's' Advocacy, local association for the visually impaired and many more.

Please support the IAC by attending and participating in our monthly events so the club can continue to do our charitable work in our community.
