Summer lunch at OSCCL begins June 15 and Unearth a Story is the summer reading theme! We are excited about the programming calendar (coming soon) including visits from NM Office of Archeological Studies, NM Dept. of Wildlife, National Archery in Schools, Ojo Sarco Volunteer Fire Dept., Twirl Taos, and others. Another trip to the Santa Fe Opera is planned for June 30! 2026 Graduate Spotlight: Krista Vigil, of Ojo Sarco, graduated from Pojoaque Valley High School on May 23. She received scholarships from Kit Carson Electric-Guzman Energy and the Knights of Columbus Council 13106. She will attend UNM in Albuquerque and major in Paralegal Criminology. Krista is the daughter of Vernon and Barbara Vigil and granddaughter of Julian Pres and Jennette Vigil.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Rhyen Vigil, of Ojo Sarco, graduated from the Southeastern New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy - Basic Police Officer Training Program, Class A-26-55. She was appointed as squad leader throughout the 17-week in-residence program and will be moving on to field training with the New Mexico Department of Wildlife. Rhyen is the daughter of Bert and Kathryn Vigil and granddaughter of Julian Pres & Jennette Vigil and Ben & Josephine Aguilar.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Matias Vigil, of Ojo Sarco, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from Colorado State University. He plans to start a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in Fall 2027. Matias is the son of Bert and Kathryn Vigil and grandson of Julian Pres Vigil and Jennette Vigil. He is also the grandson of Ben and Josephine Aguilar.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Destiny Rodriguez, of Ojo Sarco, earned an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education from Northern New Mexico College. She will continue in the fall to pursue a bachelor's degree. She is the daughter of Derrick Rodriguez and Sheila Sandoval and granddaughter of Joann and Carlos Sanchez. She is also the granddaughter of Lawrence Rodriguez and the late Shirley Gallegos.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Katie Romero, of Ojo Sarco, earned a Bachelor of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. She has been admitted into the advanced standing Masters of Social Work program. Katie is daughter of Debbie Sanchez and the late Adrian Romero and is the granddaughter of Joanne and Carlos Sanchez.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Isabella Jannika McTeigue, daughter of Jolyn McTeigue originally from Ojo Sarco, graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of New Mexico. She will be working as a business audit analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City and then will return to UNM in August to pursue a Master's of Accounting degree.

2026 Graduate Spotlight: Alijah Vasquez, of Ojo Sarco, is earning a high school diploma from Peñasco High School. He is the son of Allen and Albertina Vasquez. After graduation, he plans to enroll in an apprenticeship program for pipefitting in Los Alamos.
