Fall is the best time to plant native plants, and so naturally it’s plant sale time again! We are offering more plants than ever before online – over 60 – and will have many more plants to choose from in person.

Our in-person sale and online pickup takes place Saturday November 8th from 10am-2pm at Studio Channel Islands in downtown Camarillo.

TONIGHT AT 7pm on Zoom!! (Link in bio via Linktree)
Sophie McClean will present Building Community through Plants: The Importance of a Sense of Place

Sophie McLean, native plant specialist and nursery manager for the Ojai Valley Land conservancy will speak on the value of planting local native plants, just in time for fall planting season! We will explore the science behind growing local native plants, and how this weaves together landscape wide restoration as well as the community of flora, fauna, and human alike.
Sophie McLean is a local botanist and land manager who works for Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. She runs a native plant nursery and is passionate about prescribed fire as a tool for habitat restoration. She has a degree in Plant Biology from Montana State University and grew up in Ventura County. Any time spent not looking at plants, she is reading and sailing.

Volunteers needed! 🦉🌿

Throughout this month we’ll be working on maintaining our newly installed native plant garden at the Ojai Raptor Center. Our plants are flourishing, but we need some helping hands to make sure we can manage the weeds. Please consider swinging by from 9am-12pm on the dates listed on the flyer. Any help is much appreciated! 🌼
