Today Music as Muse opens! When you see this image of Soul Man around town, in ads and in the Ojai Music Festival’s official program know it’s us and swing by the to experience how music inspires visual art. PSGC artists will be ready to chat over a glass of wine between 4 and 6 pm. We’re excited about the collaboration with our music themed work and ! Come to the Ojai Art Center to feel how the artwork in acrylic, pastel, glass and more resonates with you.

Please come and join the PSGC artists at our reception at the Ojai Art Center this Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00. This is the weekend of the Ojai Music Festival is happening so there is a lot to enjoy.😊
Here are three artworks in glass by Donna Vis that are in the Music as Muse show in addition to all the glass art in the showcases.
I call the wall sconce Gigi because the notes are both G’s. The middle piece is called Finely Tuned because it shows 440 Hz, the frequency of music note A4. A4 is the international standard to tune instruments. The piece on the right shows the frequency of Middle C. Both frequency pieces are elevated from the surface to create shadows that play up their resonance.

Center posted: May 31 to June 26, The Pastel Society of the Gold Coast presents “Music As Muse.” An art exhibition presenting how music inspires visual art. Lots of music will be happening in town during this exhibit, including the Ojai Blues Fest here at the art center! The Ojai Music Festival takes the stage next door at the Libbey Bowl the weekend Music as Muse holds its reception. Come in before a performance to connect with your favorite artist over a glass of wine, on June 7 from 4 – 6 p.m. Become an art collector selecting from a vast array of media, including works in pastel, acrylic, encaustic, glass, watercolor, and more. See below for some sneak peeks. please come join all the artists next Saturday 🎨😁
