Cub Scout Pack 17

Families,

I would like to have a meeting Monday 6/8 at 6:00 at the church to plan for our Cub Scouts campout next weekend.

Because we’re only camping for basically a 24 hour period we do not need a physical done with a doctor prior to camping, but we do need the Cub Scouts Medical forms A and B completed by everyone who plans to attend.

We have a list of recommended things to bring camping that we can distribute that evening also. If you can’t make it, but intend to camp, please let us know so we can have an accurate count for food. Although it’s only required for the younger Scouts, we strongly encourage parents to come and camp with your Cub Scout…it’s more fun for them that way!

Tonight is our Cub Scouts Bike Rodeo!

If your Scout has a bike and helmet, please bring them to the Church at our usual meeting time of 6pm. Eric will have a series of events designed to challenge them and teach them about safely riding.

Please make sure that they bring a helmet along with their bikes.

Reminder that tonight’s meeting will be at Calvary Cemetary at 6pm to place flags in preparation for Memorial Day. If your Scout has a uniform, please have them wear it. If not, the more hands the easier the task!

Because of the Fishing we did on Saturday, there is no meeting tonight 5/11.

Our next meeting is next Monday, 5/18. We will meet at 6pm at Calvary Cemetary to place flags on the graves of Veterans in preparation for Memorial Day. We’ll post another reminder, but please have your Scout wear their uniform if possible. Thanks!

What a fun fishing day!! The kids fished, ate hot dogs and smore’s, and fished some more. Thank you Mr. Tim for the use of your pond and for the food and prizes!!

Good morning everyone! We’re still on for fishing!

Once again we’re getting rain this morning, but it looks like it’ll be blowing out this afternoon. We’re still going to get outside and go fishing! I’ve been told a fire is already burning. We have hot dogs, chips, and drinks on the menu. As well as a couple gifts your Cub Scout could win if you do make it out. Please dress accordingly for the conditions.

As you know everything is wet, and we’re guests at the pond this morning. Please stay on the driveway when you park so we don’t leave a mess behind. We may need to get creative coming and going, but I’m appreciative of our host for having us.

Blue and Gold on Saturday, May 2 from 11-1 at First Presbyterian Church. Pulled Pork, Buns, drinks, and tableware will be provided. Please bring a side (chips are a hit!) or dessert to share. If you know what you’re bringing, post below so we have variety! Can’t wait to see you there.
