The Hannah Project

The Hannah Project The Hannah Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting at-risk youth aging out of the foster care system.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Hannah, we step up and step in to provide guidance, resources, and opportunities for young adults as they navigate life beyond the system. Through mentorship, community engagement, and advocacy, we aim to build a stronger, more supportive future—one young person at a time.

🦋 Starting Out on Your Own? This Post May Be for You 💙

Getting ready to graduate high school and stepping into adulthood can be exciting — and overwhelming — especially if you’re doing it without much family support.

For many young adults, this stage also means aging out of school-based or youth programs that provided help, structure, or resources throughout their school years. Once those supports end, the transition to independence can feel sudden and isolating — even for motivated, capable young people.

The Hannah Project supports young adults ages 18–21 who are just getting started on their own and may need help with emergent, everyday essentials during this transition. You do not have to have participated in a program. You do not need to be in crisis. If you’re trying to build stability and could use a hand, this support may be meant for you.

💙 Support may include help with:

🛋️ Furniture (bed basics, small household items)
🧼 Personal hygiene items
🧺 Household essentials (cleaning products, laundry supplies)
🛏️ Sheets, pillows & bath towels
👕 Clothing & personal necessities
🚗 Vehicle needs (oil changes)
🚲 Bike maintenance or basic repairs
🎒 School or work-related essentials

If you’re 18–21, recently graduated (or about to be), and navigating adulthood mostly on your own — we encourage you to reach out privately.

📩 How to contact us:

Send us a private message here on Facebook or email [email protected]

All conversations are confidential, respectful, and judgment-free.

📣 For educators, mentors, employers & community members:

If you know a young person who has aged out of school-based or youth programs or has little to no parental involvement and is trying to get established without consistent support, please share this post or connect them with us.

🦋 Sometimes the right help at the right moment changes everything.

💙 As 2025 Comes to a Close 💙

As we reflect on this past year at The Hannah Project, our hearts remain where they have always been—with the recipients we serve.

In 2025, we were honored to assist individuals with emergent needs, provide essential items, offer resource guidance, and show up when people needed help the most. Each delivery, conversation, and moment of support is a reminder of why this nonprofit exists.

This organization was founded from love, loss, and purpose—and it continues because of dedication, sacrifice, and integrity.

We also want to be very clear moving forward:

• The Hannah Project is a registered nonprofit governed by a board of directors.
• All funds are used in alignment with our mission and reviewed through proper oversight.
• Speculation, misinformation, and harmful commentary directed at our organization or its leadership are not acceptable and do not serve our mission.

We welcome thoughtful, constructive dialogue and remain committed to transparency and accountability. At the same time, we will not engage in negativity that distracts from the work we are here to do—or from the people who rely on us.

We are not perfect. We acknowledge growth areas and are committed to doing better in the years ahead, guided by compassion, responsibility, and respect.

As we step into a new year, we choose focus over noise, purpose over politics, and service over speculation.

Thank you to those who continue to support The Hannah Project with trust, kindness, and belief in our mission. We look forward to continuing this work—together—into 2026.

🦋💙

With gratitude,

The Hannah Project

🎩 The Hannah Project’s 2nd Annual Halloween Ball – A Night to Remember

What an incredible success! Our “Down the Rabbit Hole” Halloween Ball was truly a night of magic, creativity, and community. Every prop, every costume, every moment was made possible because of the incredible people who come together to support our mission — “We step up and step in support of aging-out at-risk youth.”

The Halloween Ball holds a special place in our hearts, because Halloween was Hannah’s favorite holiday. She was incredibly creative and always dreamed of hosting a Halloween Ball of her own one day — so we made her dream a reality. Each year, we honor her spirit, imagination, and love for community through this event, carrying forward her legacy of art, compassion, and joy.

This event isn’t just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of connection — bringing people together, sharing moments, and creating something extraordinary for a cause that matters deeply to us.
