Dear friends,

As you are well aware, during February of 2024, Better Families Community Care appointed Danielle Dewaele to operate Too Good to Pass Resale Store. We are thankful to Danielle for her support and commitment to the community, though we will no longer be requiring her services.

Better Families Community Care is honored to have supported Walnut from September 1, 2022, to September 1, 2024, and we are sad to inform you that our agency has opted not to renew our lease agreement with Walnut Main Street Revitalization (WMSR). Both nonprofit entities have agreed, it is best to go our separate ways.

As we pivot towards the future, our agency has vowed to always protect the community’s best interest. To avoid disrupting services in the community, Better Families Community Care courteously offered WMSR the opportunity to assume ownership of the thrift store. Unfortunately, WMSR refused.

As an alternate solution, Better Families Community Care will be auctioning all assets contained within Too Good to Pass Resale Store. Through this auction, our agency hopes to graciously create an opportunity for someone to realize their dream of owning and operating a business.

All proceeds from the auction will be used to provide a high school student with a scholarship.
The auction will begin on August 21, at 9:00am and will end on August 23 at 5:00pm.

Hey everyone time to sign up for the 3D animal painting party is running out quickly so if you want to join now’s the time. I am trying to provide something fun for all ages, the registration deadline is the 14th.
Cost is $15 a person this includes the 3d critter and the paint that’s needed to paint it.
Come one come all let’s have some fun 🙂

Our painting party will be held on Sunday 25 August at 4pm
Cut off date to register will be Wednesday 14 August.
Payment needs to be made before your critter will be made and you will be added to the list to attend.

This painting party is open for all ages children included the cost will be $15 a person. This will be a cash only event.

Wednesday 31july2024 the pods will be open for shopping 3p-5p
Friday they will be open 3p-5p
Saturday they will be open 10-3 pm only designated people will be allowed to enter them but you can tell us what you’re interested in/looking for and we will help you.

All of August everything in the store will be 50% off (bows not included in this sale)

So I’ve been kicking around an idea for something fun to do but we would need a good bit of interest in order to pull this off and make it worth it.

I wanted to collaborate with The Embroidery Shop - Walnut, IL here in town with with their little animal fidget key chains and do a painting party.
would anyone be interested in this?

I haven’t set a date yet or a fee yet I just need to know if there’s enjoy interest before I can do anything
