101 years ago, Josiah Chase gifted the Marginal Way to the Town of Ogunquit—a beautiful gift that continues to be shared by generations.
Today, we’re incredibly lucky to walk this path, take in these ocean views, and experience the beauty he helped preserve for all of us. 🌊🌿
A century later, the gift keeps giving.

Join us in supporting local business owner Rick Dolliver as he hosts a special fundraiser at That Place benefiting the Maine Children’s Cancer Program at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. ❤️

The Maine Children’s Cancer Program provides specialized care to Maine children battling cancer and blood disorders, while also offering vital emotional support and resources to their families throughout some of the most difficult days of their lives.

Every donation, silent auction bid, and dollar raised will directly support Maine children and their families when they need it most.

Last Tuesday, September 1st, the Marginal Way Preservation Fund was honored to recognize Richard Fiske with a Day of Distinction, celebrating his life, legacy, and deep connection to Ogunquit.

A successful entrepreneur and longtime piano shop owner and technician, Richard treasured music, family, and his many visits to Ogunquit. Among his favorite traditions were walks along the Marginal Way, a place that held a very special place in his heart.

We are deeply grateful to Richard’s family for choosing to honor his life and legacy by supporting the preservation of the Marginal Way. Through their generosity, they are helping ensure that this special place Richard loved will be cherished and enjoyed for generations to come. 💙
