Join us tonight in Ogdensburg for the opening of our newest exhibition, “Nourishing Waters: Sustaining Our Stories” at the Montpelier Gallery. The exhibition opening reception will be held on July 23rd, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and the gallery is located at Ogdensburg Free Academy, 1100 State Street in Ogdensburg.

“Nourishing Waters: Sustaining Our Stories” invited artists to explore the vital role of our waterways in the North Country region and their profound impact on our lives and communities. Exhibiting artwork celebrates the beauty, resilience, and significance of the region’s rivers, lakes, and streams. The showcase includes works from artists across the North Country, highlighting the diverse talents and perspectives of the community. This opportunity would not have been possible without the support of the Ogdensburg School District, the invaluable assistance of Dianne Drayse-Alonso, and the sponsorship of Northern Power and Light. This exhibition was curated by OFA alum, Erica Kelso.

In addition to the opening event, the exhibition will be open to the public for viewing on August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. In September and early October, students across the district will engage with the exhibit as a way to enhance their curriculum, learning about local waterways and practices that have shaped our region.

Join us for our opening night to celebrate the talent and creativity of our local artists and reflect on the importance of our region’s waterways.
