Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14th in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

St. Lawrence Valley Renewal House: Many survivors have voiced that they did not believe they were experiencing abuse because of the lack of education surrounding domestic violence and the different tactics used against a victim to maintain power and control over them.
MYTH: Many people insist that if your partner is not physically violent, then no abuse has occurred.
FACT: Emotional abuse IS abuse; they don't leave marks, but the cost is equally as high.
