We are proud to recognize an incredible accomplishment from one of our Scouts!

Winston Turpin, Life Scout from Troop 407 and 8th grader, earned 1st Place in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Division at the University of Utah Science & Engineering Fair (USEF)!

The USEF is a prestigious annual competition that brings together some of the brightest young minds (grades 5–12) from across northern Utah. It challenges students to think critically, explore innovative ideas, and develop real-world problem-solving skills in science and technology.

Winston’s achievement is a shining example of how Scouting builds not only strong leaders, but curious thinkers and innovators ready to make a difference.

Way to go, Winston!

A big thank you to South Davis Metro Fire for hosting Scouts from Troops 407 and 007 as they worked on their Fire Safety Merit Badge!
The Scouts had the opportunity to learn firsthand about fire prevention, safety in the home, and how firefighters protect our community every day.
Experiences like this help bring merit badges to life and give Scouts a deeper appreciation for the skills and service of our local firefighters.
We are grateful for the partnership and for the time the firefighters took to teach, demonstrate equipment, and answer questions.
Learning, serving, and growing just another great day in Scouting!

It’s Blue & Gold season in Davis County! 💙💛
All across our district, families are gathering to celebrate the birthday of Scouting America with awards, food, fun, and unforgettable memories.

We’re cheering on our Cub Scouts as they earn advancements, recognizing amazing leaders for their dedication, and celebrating one of the most special moments of the year, crossing over from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA.

Watching these Arrow of Light Scouts take their next big step into a troop is what it’s all about!

Here’s to growth, leadership, friendship, and the bright future ahead.
