Exciting news for Junction City! 🌟
Junction City Main Street has been named a 2025 EPA Recreation Economy for Rural Communities Partner Community, joining just 25 communities nationwide selected for this program!

This partnership with the EPA helps communities identify strategies to grow their outdoor recreation economy and revitalize their main streets.

🌧️⛰️ *Day One in Bentonville, AR — Laneshift Active Transportation Academy* 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Despite a rainy start, Ogden’s delegation hit the ground walking! City Planner Angela Shepard, Councilmember Richard Foster, and FHRC’s Janna Williams kicked off their first day exploring Bentonville’s trail systems and active infrastructure.

From winding paths to bold design, we saw firsthand how Northwest Arkansas is leveraging active transportation to fuel economic development and community resilience. The rain may have shifted our plans, but it couldn’t dampen the inspiration flowing from this region’s commitment to connectivity, sustainability, and growth.

Excited for what’s ahead this week as we learn, collaborate, and bring fresh ideas back to Ogden! 💡🌱 Hills Regional Council
