⚠️ Just a heads-up for everyone in the area
A man named Luke, who said he was from Roof Amour, came to my house this afternoon in a white Transit van regarding potential roofing work.
He was very convincing and said he was working in the area and could do the work on my roof, but he wanted a deposit upfront. I wasn’t 100% comfortable and wasn’t able to verify who he was or whether the company/work was legitimate.
There was also another man in the vehicle with him.
I’m not saying this person is a scammer or that he has done anything wrong. He may be completely legitimate. I just wanted to make people aware so everyone can do their own checks before agreeing to work or handing over a deposit.
If anyone else has had a similar experience or knows this company/person, please share your experience.
Stay safe and always verify before paying a deposit to someone who approaches you at your home.
