Why Even Good Swimmers Wear Life Jackets

Because safety isn’t just about skill

This beginner-friendly class puts a strong emphasis on life jackets and water safety. All equipment will be provided!

Today we presented to the McCook Rotary Club about our mission, our projects, and our goals! It's great to visit Rotary Clubs as Travis, our chairperson, is a member of the Ogallala Rotary Club.

Today was a big day today as we had our "Grand Opening " of our new "Life Jacket Trade-in Program" at the Ogallala Goodall YMCA .

We hope to get every child in the correct-sized life jacket and provide the education to know if it is too large.

After the Grand Opening we had 3 classes teaching life jacket safety and at the end the kids got to jump in the deep in to try them out.

We want to thank the Ogallala Goodall YMCA and the City of Ogallala for their support of our program. This is the first of its kind in the country that I can find. We hope to see this program flourish and grow into other communities.

We will be having a "Grand Opening" on Wednesday, June 25th at 8:30 am for our new Life Jacket Trade-in Program. We have it installed at the Ogallala Goodall YMCA Outdoor Oasis. We would like to invite the public to this event and start this program off with a bang!

From what I can tell, this is the only program like this in the country so I feel it should be celebrated!

With this program we hope to help all children get into the correct sized life jacket. Bring your life jacket that doesn't fit and trade it for the correct size free of charge.

We have been busy working on different projects. The first project we get to introduce is our new Life Jacket Trade-in program. This is designed to help parents keep their children in the correct-sized life jacket. Crihstian's Cause is dedicated to "Saving lives one life jacket at time" With this program we hope to be more self-sustainable while reaching that goal and also providing education. We will check the boxes to be sure all life jackets are suitable for use and the provided information will help you select the correct life jacket. We hope to have this up and running in Ogallala in the next few weeks.

Today we did a life jacket and water safety demonstration with a local daycare. We talked about life jackets and how to properly put one on. We had a couple of demonstrations and I think the kids enjoyed it! If you would like to schedule a water safety demonstration in or around Ogallala please reach out. These take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the group.
