Where to start… When I joined just over 3 years ago I would have never dreamed of the things we have already accomplished and it just continues to grow. Each and every year we have grown attendance by 50 or more people each year. Started the 2nd ever veterans hunt in Nebraska thru Pheasants Forever, build long lasting local habitat, continue to help local trap teams and grow our youth mentor hunt. We have some of the most badass committee members and volunteers out there. Thanks to committee members- Mike Tuttle, Blake Brewster, Kade Robertson, Tyler Robertson, Bob Schroder, Addie Piernicky Teagan Thode. Volunteers- Nick Robertson, Kelvin Robertson, Nathan Robertson, Bill Hayes, Bob Luedtke, and Dano Stokey. Without these people and all their dedication this wouldn’t even start to be possible.
Secondly thanks to each and every person who has supported our chapter along the way. Whether it’s donating items, money, time or just showing up to support the banquet. Without your dedication and passion for upland hunt and conservation we couldn’t do it without you.
Lastly thanks to our awesome regional rep Nick Mizera. From the time I jumped on board here with this chapter he has been supportive of every decision, you can call him at all times of the day or night and he’s there for questions and ideas. Always willing to lend a hand during meetings, hunts or banquets! He’s a rep that most chapters could only dream of having.
I’m excited to announce our 2027 banquet will take place on January 9th,2027 @ Keith County Fairgrounds. We are currently working on dates for our fall youth mentor and veterans hunt so stay tuned.

The next announcement is our Chapter of the Year Awards! These go to two very deserving chapters, Seward County on the East side of the state and Western Nebraska Chapter on the West side of the state.
Seward County PF is an amazing example of a chapter that fires on all cylinders when it comes to Pheasants Forever mission work. Their habitat work is led by Merlyn Nielsen who oversees their two no-till drills and keeps them in tip-top shape and ready for the next landowner to put to use. Merlyn also represents eastern Nebraska in the legislative Upland Caucus. David Dyer and Gary Bales coordinate their annual Youth Mentor Hunt that sees dozens of youth come and have one of their first hunting experiences. President Roy Josoff Jr. and Tim Classen lead the banquet crew that always produces consistent success. It is one of the largest banquets in eastern Nebraska and is consistently one of the top membership events in the nation. Once fundraising is completed, this chapter is laser focused on putting those funds directly into habitat and mission delivery at the local, state, and national levels through the Nebraska Outdoor Heritage program, Legislative Action Fund, and Path to the Uplands programming.
The western Nebraska Ringnecks chapters passion for the PF mission is obvious and contagious. That zeal for conservation has led them to host their largest banquet ever tow years in a row, spurred innovation to host their fist ever Veterans hunt, their successful annual Youth Mentor Hunt and driven their continued support of programs like Nebraska Outdoor Heritage at one of the highest rates in the state. Their support and promotion of NCAP has helped enable thousands of additional acres of access in their backyard. The Western Nebraska Ringnecks chapter embodies the Chapter ideal and deserves this years Western Chapter of the Year award.
