Even if the weather was a bit chillier than previous years, our Big Mac Kiwanis Club enjoyed being a part of Ogallala's National Night Out.
This community event is always an enjoyable time. Such a nice evening to bring the family out to visit with and support our First Responders. 🚓🚑🚒

Thank you Village of Brule for inviting our Kiwanis Club to be the parade float judges for the Brule Day parade August 1st. It was a beautiful morning for a parade.

Rendezvous Square in downtown Ogallala is the place to be. Our Kiwanis Club is set up ready to serve you dinner. Plus we have a bonus attraction tonight with Keith County Community Foundation's Summer Intern, Ella Schlake and her Instrument Petting Zoo.
Music by Sam Zitek will kick off at 6pm.

Who's ready for a great night of music?! Friday, July 17 will be filled with a variety of music along with opportunities to support young musicians. We'll be serving up dinner starting at 5pm with the music of Sam Zitek starting at 6. Sounds on the Square is a fantastic (& free) opportunity to get the family out of the house for an enjoyable evening. The Keith County Chamber of Commerce does a super job of organizing a variety of community events for us all to enjoy.
Our Kiwanis Club will be serving up brats & dogs, Tajin corn, chips and water for only $10. While at Rendezvous Square, you'll be able to visit with KCFF Summer Intern, Ella Schlake about a variety of musical instruments in a Instrument Petting Zoo. Ella is joining forces with our Club as July has been deemed, 'Share the Music' month by our Club. We wanted to give back to our community, plus help get those dusty instruments back into the hands of new musicians. Yanda's Music has generously agreed to give those donated instruments a 'once over' so they'll be all ready to live the life they were made for! 🎶🎼🎵

Yanda’s Music in Ogallala will help by doing a free inspection and check-up on any donated instrument (value: $45-65 each, depending on instrument type)! Drop off collected instruments at Bob Josjor’s office, 3305 West H in the WRG Recycling Center building and put “Kiwanis” on the repair form when asked.

Ogallala cemetery summer grounds crew do a great job keeping the area nice. In order for efficient mowing, all flowers and memorabilia need removed or placed on the headstones.
Our Kiwanis Club works with the cemetery crew to help them with this. June 1st, one week after Memorial Day, flowers are required to be removed. We meet at the cemetery at 7am for pickup. If you'd like to help with this community task, please join us Monday.
