We're in the home stretch of the Keith County Big Give!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the OHS digital marquee has already been ordered and will be installed before the start of the new school year. Now, we're working to close the gap and raise the remaining funds needed to complete the project.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us cross the finish line and invest in a new way to celebrate students, share information, and showcase all that makes OG Nation special.

We are excited to be participating in the Keith County Big Give!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the new Ogallala High School marquee sign has officially been ordered and is scheduled to be installed before the start of the 2026-27 school year.

While the project is moving forward, we still need your help to cross the finish line. The total cost of the marquee is $48,795, and thanks to generous donors, we have already raised $35,000 toward that goal.

This year's Keith County Big Give is an opportunity to help us close the gap and bring this project to completion. Every gift, no matter the size, helps make a lasting impact for Ogallala Public Schools and the entire OG Nation community.

Ogallala Public Schools and Ogallala Public Schools Foundation are proud to present the OPSD TEACHER & STAFF MEMBER OF THE YEAR!

Ogallala Public Schools is proud to recognize two outstanding individuals as our 2026 Staff Members of the Year! With more than 100 nominations submitted, the stories shared about our staff were powerful reminders of the heart, dedication, and passion that make OPSD so special.

‣ Classified Staff Member of the Year: Courtney Johnston Boltz
Courtney serves as a paraeducator in Prairie View’s GROW Program, where she works closely with students on social-emotional regulation and support. Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls. Courtney is known for stepping in wherever needed, supporting students and staff alike with compassion, patience, and a servant heart. She brings calm to difficult moments, encouragement to those around her, and a willingness to help in any way possible. Prairie View is better because of her.

‣ Certified Staff Member of the Year: Tanner Dow
Mr. Dow serves as an OHS Science Teacher and Assistant Activities Director, and his influence can be felt all across OG Nation. One student shared that “Mr. Dow always engages us and makes us love science,” while staff members highlighted the countless ways he has stepped up to support the activities department, including fine arts programs. Whether he’s organizing events behind the scenes, running from one activity to the next to make sure everything operates smoothly, or even jumping in to play trap set for the pep band, Mr. Dow leads with energy, positivity, and a true commitment to students and school culture.

Congratulations to Courtney and Tanner on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for the incredible ways you serve OPSD and the OG Nation community each and every day!

As we reflect on the incredible success of our OPSF Feud for the Future event, we have many heartfelt thanks to share... And we’re just getting started!
