We are so grateful for everyone who joined us at Bridge the Basin 2026! If you attended, please check your email for our post-event survey - we'd love to hear from you.

If you attended Bridge the Basin, check your e-mail inbox — we sent out a short post-event survey and would love your feedback. It only takes about 5 minutes, and your input helps us shape next year's regional summit.

Thank you again for making this year's summit such a success. We can't wait to build on it for 2027!

In 2025, approximately 70,000 people in the United States died from a drug overdose.

But they were more than a number.

They were parents, children, siblings, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. They had names, stories, dreams, and people who still miss them every single day.

On International Overdose Awareness Day, we honor every life lost, stand beside every grieving family, and remind those struggling with substance use that their lives still have value. There is no shame in asking for help, and recovery is possible.

Remembrance must also move us toward action. Through compassion, prevention, education, naloxone access, treatment, and evidence-based support, we can help save lives and build communities where no one has to struggle alone.

Today, we remember without stigma.
We grieve without judgment.
We speak their names.
And we turn our pain into purpose.

Every life matters. Every story matters. Every person deserves hope. 💜

🌉 BRIDGE THE BASIN 2026 — WHAT A DAY! 💙

We had a GREAT turnout today, and looking through these pictures, one word keeps coming to mind: CONNECTION.

Last year, Bridge the Basin had about 10 people in the room. This year, 125 people registered. That didn’t happen because of one person or one organization. It happened because our community showed up ready to learn, share resources, have conversations and figure out how we can work better together.

Today we had prevention professionals, educators, community organizations, advocates, service providers and leaders sitting at the same tables. We talked about what is working, what is missing, and most importantly—what we can do next.

That is what Bridge the Basin is supposed to be.

🌉 We don't need to work against each other or in separate silos. We need to build the bridge between the people doing the work and the people who need us.

Thank you to every speaker, panelist, resource partner, sponsor, volunteer, staff member and attendee who helped make today possible. And thank you to everyone who believed in this idea enough to show up.

The turnout was amazing—but 125 registrations aren't the finish line. They're proof that we're ready for something bigger.

Now the real work begins.

Let's keep building the bridge. 💙🌉

🌟 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Permian Basin Drug & Alcohol Testing

Today we’re shining the Community Spotlight on Permian Basin Drug & Alcohol Testing for showing up and being part of the prevention conversation at Bridge the Basin! 💙🌉

Prevention takes all of us. From education and awareness to providing families with resources and tools, community partners help us build a stronger safety net around our youth and families.

And we have to give them credit for the shirts — “Weed Is for Dweebs” definitely got people talking! 😄👏 Sometimes starting the conversation is exactly where prevention begins.

Thank you to the entire Permian Basin Drug & Alcohol Testing team for bringing the NARC BOX, resources, education, and your commitment to keeping our Permian Basin informed and safer.

This is what Bridge the Basin is about:
Connecting people. Sharing resources. Starting conversations. Turning connection into action. 🌉💙

📸 Drop them some love in the comments for being part of today’s prevention movement!
