What a wonderful time to be a Cougar! Thank you to the School Board and Compass Administration for honoring the Lady Cougar Golf Team at the School Board meeting for finishing runner-up at the State tournament! They received their runner-up plaques from the Booster Club and were celebrated by all in attendance. They competed hard and came back to claim 2nd place after being in 5th place going into the final day!

The honors did not stop there! Caleb Stout was also honored by placing 7th in the whole state of Texas for 3A in the 400 meters! He just started running the 400 meters this season and improved over 1.5 seconds between the District meet and the State meet! Caleb is only a junior, so he will continue to work hard and bring home gold to Compass next season!

Finally, we want to extend our sincere thanks for the School Board and Administration for recognizing the PTO, Music Booster Club and Athletic Booster Club for all of their efforts throughout the year in support of ALL kids at Compass. I can speak for everyone on the Athletic Booster Club that we love helping to support the athletic programs at Compass and the reward is to watch them grow and succeed, but it is very nice to be acknowledged for that work as well. Thank you very much for the kind words and the shout out!

👏👏👏Congratulations to these gentlemen from the Compass Varsity Baseball team for reaching All-District Honors! The team was Co-District Champions and reached quite a few honors from the district. These guys worked hard all season and rose to the top of the district during the season! Way to go Cougars! We are very proud of you guys!

The Compass Cougar Varsity Baseball's run came to an end yesterday to a very good Jacksboro team. We wish them the best of luck for the rest of the playoffs.

However, a loss does not define a season. The concept of a historic season for a team that has only been in existence for 2 years seems funny, but that is exactly what this season was for this team.

Let's look at the list of accomplishments for this great group of young men (and 1 woman) and coaches.

33-5 Overall Record
10-2 District Record
Co-District Champions (1st time ever!)
Bi-District Champions
Area Champions (1st time ever!)
#3 in Region (Highest finish ever!)
1st college commit (way to go Keoni!)

All of this while not having a home field or home practice facility to call our own. Also, not having busses to take the team to/from games, so parents had to take off time to make sure they were at games on time for warmups and get home late after games. To say that we are proud of this team would be an understatement.

Congratulations on a great season gentlemen and way to continue to help lay the foundation for a very strong Cougar Baseball Team! The future is very bright!

Huge bounce back win by a resilient Cougars team last night! Total team effort to keep the season alive and 1 win away from the Regional Finals!

The Cougars got rolling in the second inning and never looked back. Kaison Bivins opened the scoring, while the offense continued to apply pressure throughout the game.

🔥 Offensive Leaders:
• Braden Hogan — 3 hits in 3 at-bats
• Nickolas Renteria — 2 RBIs
• Canyon Bownds — 2 RBIs
• Kaison Bivins — 2 RBIs

💪 On the mound:
Keoni Dutchover earned the win, going 6 strong innings with 5 strikeouts, while Braden Hogan shut the door in relief with a dominant final inning shutout and 2 strikeouts.

Please support these boys as they play a winner take all final game this afternoon against Jacksboro for a chance to play in the Regional Finals! Let's go Cougars!
