Today, these 4 FFA Members competed at State Land Judging near Beatrice! They competed against the Top 25% of teams from all across the state! The Area Contest was 2 weeks ago, and rained the entire time (we forgot to get pictures).

Aubrey: Blue Ribbon, 12th Place of 150
Creyton: Pink Ribbon, 64th
Keeton: Pink Ribbon, 69th
Josh: 99th Place

Today the FFA Officer Team hosted a Livestock Petting Zoo to educate the elementary students about common livestock, and about products that we get from livestock.

They got animals, pens, and tents lined up for a fun day of learning about livestock!

We’d like to thank Classic Dairy, Randy Peitzmeier, and Matt Nippert for letting us borrow their animals for today!

Saturday, FFA Members competed in the State Dairy Evaluation Contest at the State Fair. We brought 2 teams, where everyone judged 6 classes, and gave 3 sets of reasons.

Team 1, made up of Nick Griboski, Jake Behrends, Makenzie Peitzmeier, and Lucy Dorn earned 4th Place! They also gave a presentation over solutions for a dairy farm to bring all heifers and cows into heat at the same time.

We’d like to thank Brooke Engelman for her help with the preparation for this portion!

Yesterday was the State Competition for the Milk Quality & Products contest at Grand Island, and Diller-Odell earned 3rd Place! We were 1 point behind Lewiston, who earned 2nd place.

Below are the individual ribbon winners:

Mallory Schwab: 2nd of 93, Purple Ribbon
Nick Griboski: 7th, Blue Ribbon
Aubrey Roelfs: 20th, Red Ribbon
Makenzie Peitzmeier: 46th, White Ribbon

Today, Ag Ed students and FFA Members helped clean up after the storms from this past weekend. We picked up branches and sticks from the Odell Park & the Diller Park.

Thanks to Orville Klecan of Odell and Randy Peitzmeier of Diller for letting us give back and help!
