📌 A few important reminders:
✅ Club CLOSED June 1–5 for Summer Inservice
✅ Club CLOSED June 19 for Juneteenth
✅ Please drop off AND pick up your club kids on time!
✅ Send your child with a water bottle every day 💧

🏊 Tomorrow, May 28th — Club will be swimming, so don't forget to bring your swim gear!

🚌 This Friday, May 29th — The Boys & Girls Club will be closed for our end-of-year Teen Trip! The teens have voted to go to Adventure Zone!
We're taking 20 teens, and about half the spots are still open! Please reach out by email or call the Club to register your teen for the trip. We'd love to have them join us! 🎉

Our Club kids had an amazing experience harvesting zhigaagawanzh / wild onions / ramps during the final session of our Chefs in Training program! 🌿👨‍🍳 We're so grateful for the ongoing support of UW Extension Ashland County and our partners at Bad River Food Sovereignty , who have generously provided seasonal foods and foraging opportunities throughout the program. 🙏
Wild onions are such a fun and accessible plant to forage — perfect for young learners getting their hands dirty for the first time! 🧅🌱 Our very own Club Chef, Ursula, put the kids' harvest to delicious use by incorporating the wild onions right into a homemade spaghetti sauce — a fantastic way to let their earthy, oniony flavor shine. 🍝😋
We love giving our members meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect them to the land and the food on their plates! ❤️🌍

☀️ SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE and we are SO ready!! ☀️

Before we kick off the best summer yet, here are a few dates to keep in mind:

🇺🇸 May 25 — Club Closed for Memorial Day
🎒 May 29 — Last Day of After School Program (what a great year it's been!)
🛠️ June 1–5 — Club Closed while we prep for an AMAZING summer season!

We are busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for our members — and we cannot wait! 🙌
