The Oconto Gun Club hosted a Hunter’s Safety course today. The WGAS group had the privilege to raffle off a rifle for the youth participants. A big congrats goes out to Braxin as the lucky winner!

Yesterday we had a couple of young helpers bring $500 donations to our friends at The Oconto Area Humane Society and The Friends of Farnsworth group through The Farnsworth Public Library. Both organizations are great assets to our community!

(Happy to report that the puppy didn’t get exchanged for the donation and is still available for adoption! 😂)

Hello Folks. There are two bay access points within the City of Oconto. One is at City Park the other is on the Northwest side of the Splinter Causeway across from the boat launch at Oconto Breakwater Park/Harbor. As of 5pm 02-20-2026, the water along the shorline of the bay has receded consiserably since this morning. ATV/SxS travel seems to be the only method of transportation once on the bay. Please exercise extreme caution when traversing over the crack from “shore” to “floating” ice. Daylight travel on the bay is strongly encouraged. Please remember NO ICE IS SAFE ICE! We look forward to a safe and fun day for everyone participating in the tournament and look forward to participants winning awesome prizes inside the tent.
