PINK SHARING STORY 🩷 | LEON DAVIS
Some people have a way of making their community a better place simply by being part of it.
Leon Davis is one of those people.
A nurse, a business owner, a philanthropist, a Harley enthusiast and the man behind LD’s BBQ in East Troy.
Leon has spent much of his life caring for others, whether through nursing, feeding his community, or finding ways to give back.
But what makes Leon’s story especially meaningful is that he’s also navigating his own cancer journey.
Leon is living with metastatic kidney cancer, a diagnosis that has brought challenges no one should have to face.
And yet, his generosity and commitment to helping others continue to shine.
When we started Hope Chimes, Leon was one of the people who stepped up to help us raise money to bring Bells of Hope to cancer treatment centers.
Those bells represent so much more than the end of treatment. They’re there to celebrate milestones, acknowledge difficult days, honor loved ones, and remind patients and families that hope can be found throughout the journey.
And Leon helped make that possible. 🔔
There’s something incredibly meaningful about someone who is facing cancer himself choosing to help bring comfort and hope to others walking a similar road.
That’s the kind of person Leon is.
Whether he’s wearing scrubs, serving up BBQ, riding his Harley, or supporting a cause close to someone’s heart, Leon reminds us that making a difference doesn’t always have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s simply about showing up.
Leon, thank you for your generosity, your heart for this community, and for helping us spread a little more hope.
Your story is a beautiful reminder that even while navigating our own challenges, we can still make a difference in the lives of others.
