This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As Scouts, we reflect on the values of courage, service, and sacrifice, and we are grateful for those who protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we take time to remember our fallen heroes.

Congratulations to all of our Scouts on their rank advancements! We had a fantastic year filled with growth, learning, and fun. Thank you to all of our parents and leaders for your support and dedication in helping make this such an enjoyable and successful year for everyone.

While this may be the end of the current Scouting season, the adventure doesn’t stop here! Our summer activities begin in just a couple of weeks and are a great opportunity for Scouts to have fun, stay connected, and get a head start on earning achievements toward their new rank. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Yesterday’s day camp at Ottawa Lake Recreation Area was a huge success! Scouts spent the day outdoors exploring, learning new skills, and having fun together.

We started with a 2-mile hike to Scuppernong Springs Nature Trail, followed by a make-your-own trail mix snack after the long hike in the heat. Then we went fishing and learned how to use a compass by following directions to find a hidden duck. We also played water balloon toss and “fill the bucket” games to cool off and created tic-tac-toe boards and pieces using rocks and wood slices.

For dinner and dessert, the Scouts helped make bubble pizza and peach cobbler in Dutch ovens, plus homemade ice cream in a bag. It was a full day of adventure, teamwork, creativity, and great memories! We couldn’t have asked for better weather.

It was a beautiful day to have a Pack meeting outside! The theme was backyard games so we played giant marbles, head shoulders knees and cone, steal the bacon, and capture the flag. A great day to get all that pent up energy out!

Sunday’s Arrow of Light crossover was a wonderful celebration! Congratulations to our Scouts advancing to Scouts BSA. Your hard work has paid off, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish on the next step of your Scouting journey. Thank you to our AOL den leader Joe and assistant den leaders Joshua and Jason for their time, commitment, and support, and to our parents for everything you do to make Scouting possible

This month’s theme is To the Rescue! We talked about what to do in an emergency and what is and isn’t an emergency. We played fire safety tag where if you got tagged by a blue bandana (smoke) you had to crawl on the floor, and if you got tagged by a red bandana (fire) you had to stop drop and roll until a yellow bandana (firefighter) tapped you. Also, special thanks to Sergeant Oswald, K9 Officer Gabo, and his handler Officer Mosher from Oconomowoc PD for visiting and showing the Scouts their gear and vehicles!

We had a wonderful Blue and Gold dinner last night. Special thanks to HAWS for providing our entertainment and showcasing Kaa the snake!

Our Pinewood Derby was a success! The theme was Sweet Treats and all the Scouts did a wonderful job decorating their cars! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this a fun day for everyone.

Huge thank you to the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay for hosting Cub Scouts from Packs 49, 96, and 99 overnight. We were the first Cub Scouts to sleep in their brand new Fox River Expansion building!

Everyone had a blast learning about hobos, trying hobo stew, building a hoover building (cardboard tent) to sleep in, and even setting a piece of rail on ties and spiking it down!

We're looking forward to doing something similar next year!
