Join LCCW for an engaging and informative session on the ongoing battle against Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) in Lake Country!

Amanda Schmitz, AIS Coordinator for Waukesha and Washington Counties, will discuss: The most pressing AIS threats, share updates on newly discovered invasive species in our lakes, and unveil the updated 2025 AIS Strategic Plan.

She’ll also walk us through the process of applying for a Clean Boats, Clean Waters DNR grant and demonstrate the powerful AIS GIS mapping application.

Additionally, you'll get a brief yet insightful overview of the DNR’s Surface Water Integrated Monitoring System (SWIMS) database—learning how to access and utilize this vital data for lake conservation.

Join Greener Oconomowoc for a viewing of “Mossville: When Great Trees Fall” on March 14 at 1:30pm. This documentary film follows Stacey Ryan, born and raised in the historic African American town of Mossville, Louisiana.

It tells the story of industrial pollution and contamination and the impact it had on the community. Come watch, learn, and discuss!
