This was sent to all the managers prior to the season starting
League will start the week of May 4th
Meeting Notes – Manager’s Meeting – 4-16-2026 – Dockhounds Stadium
Rosters
This will be league policed, you can only play for one team per night. We discussed at the meeting that all of us will be diligent with this. If you see a player playing for more than one team on a given night, please bring it to the umpires or board members attention. NO SUPER SUBS. PERIOD.
First offense: You will be asked not to continue playing that night, the team will play without you, and play by the rules, meaning that if not enough players, your position in the lineup will be an automatic out – unless an allowed substitute is available.
Second offense: You will be asked not to continue playing that night, the team you are playing on will now forfeit the game, pay the $30 fine (30 pack) for the opposing team and they will get the win by forfeit. The player is then suspended for their original team’s next scheduled game.
Third offense: The team you are playing will forfeit their game, pay the $30 (30 pack fine) and be suspended from post season tournament play. The player will be suspended for the rest of the season.
You must play in one game with that team to be eligible for the post-season.
We need to as a league be better with this, so everyone is playing fairly.
Equipment
If any illegal equipment is being used, please notify an umpire or board member, we will ask them to have it removed and not allowed. If you see something, say something. Thank you
Coed
Keeping the coed rule of 5 guys and 4 girls – with the missing player will be an out until they get there. You can play with 5 girls/4 guys and not have to take the out. The automatic out only applies when more guys are playing then girls.
The run through line will still be used. Meaning that the catcher/defensive player may use the plate or mat as a base for the force out at home, if the runner has crossed the commit line. The runner must always run to/through the run through line, never at the plate or mat.
The defensive team may tag out runner(s) at any time for an out.
Please keep in mind this is to prevent collisions at home, so do your best as an offensive team to abide by the rules.
Men’s
Plays at the plate. If there is no play taking place at the plate the runner may either step on the plate or mat. Only if there is going to be a play at the plate the player must slide or go to the plate, not the mat with active plays at home.
Please avoid all collisions, get out of the way, or slide. Hard slides or purposely taking a player out will be at the umpire’s judgement for ejection/removal.
No females are allowed to play in Men’s league.
League
We will be taking the week of Memorial Day off as a league and playing the week of the 4th of July this season. This way we only lose one Monday instead of two due to holidays.
Appropriate clothing must be always worn, no flip flops, socks, bare feet. Proper attire needs to be worn while playing.
All League fees need to be paid by May 28th, unless arrangements are made with a Board Member
Please keep drinking and/or smoking to the dugout/coach’s box areas, do not be doing it on the field during play.
Batting Practice – stay as far away from the parking lot as you can to prevent any foul balls from hitting cars. Please move further to the east, use the third diamond or area behind the third diamond.
In our bylaws – the position of Commissioner, is a 5 year term, this will be my 4th season, if anyone is interested in learning what it takes to run the league now is the time to ask. Any board members are welcome to stay, if the new commissioner would like them too. Contact me if you are interested. I can fill you in with my details
Fun Items/Updates
We’ve been given permission to build our own pavilion at the ballpark. This will need to be 100% funded donations. If you know anyone who is willing to donate materials or time, let us know. Materials and time will be appreciated and recognized with your names on the pavilion. Done where everyone can see it, ie, a plaque, or permanent display.
We would like to sticker our fridge in the concession stand. We are encouraging anyone to bring a sticker(s) in and place it on our fridge. Keep in mind that no political/innuendo/derogatory, or what we may deem inappropriate will be allowed. This is for fun and what to keep it fun.
We are also looking for someone who would like to be our social media manager this year. As an internship, or possibly a paid position. If you know anyone, please let me know so we can go over the details. To help promote the league.
There may be other items that may be brought up in the meantime and updated towards the league if necessary.
Schedules will be sent out once we can finalize teams.
Thank you and good luck with the 2026 season
