On August 30th, members, family, and friends came out to Lake Country Freemasons Lodge for a cookout. Lots of food, fellowship, and leftovers were enjoyed by all.

Lake Country Freemasons Lodge #42 presents Fire Suppression Tool to the Hartland Fire Department. The Fire Suppression Tool was developed by the US and Israeli military and is distributed exclusively in the US by Fire Suppression Solutions of Mequon. The device weighs eleven pounds, has a 15 year battery life, and uses a “pull the pin and throw it in” technology that can extinguish a fire in an enclosed area up to 5300 cubic feet in 35 seconds. It is safe for humans and pets, and allows firefighters faster and safer access to the structure while minimizing water damage. Because of this, many insurance companies will pay up to $1000 reimbursement after its use, enabling first responders to acquire and deploy another unit at minimal cost.

This donation is made possible by the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, working with local lodges as part of their “Acts of Kindness” initiatives. With an initial donation of $50,000 from the WMF, fifty Fire Suppression Tools were purchased and distributed throughout the state.

The feast day of Saint John in the Catholic Church, Anglican Communion, and the Lutheran Calendar, is on 27 December, the third day of Christmastide. In the Tridentine Calendar he was commemorated also on each of the following days up to and including 3 January, the Octave of the 27 December feast. This Octave was abolished by Pope Pius XII in 1955. The traditional liturgical color is white.

Freemasons celebrate this feast day, dating back to the 18th century when the Feast Day was used for the installation of Presidents and Grand Masters.
