Please keep in mind trails in Waukesha County are still closed! Please respect our land owners so we can keep the trails we have and not ride until they are determined safe to open!

The Travel Wisconsin Snow Report Map is reset and ready for color!! Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable 2026 Wisconsin Snowmobile Season!!!

December 1st and Wisconsin is covered with SNOW!!! A pre-Thanksgiving storm hit the UP and northern areas with FEET of snow. This past weekend, close to a foot blanketed areas in the southern half! We can’t remember the last time we had so much snow on December 1st!

It’s actually a bit early… After a warm enjoyable fall, there isn’t much frost yet. Many clubs were still waiting for crops to finish being cleared, to finish staking their systems. Gun Deer season is now over, though many areas have other hunting seasons that hinder them from opening.

Feet of snow in the snow belt sounds great, but left these areas a huge mess to dig out off. Loss of power, and trail systems loaded with downed trees. Everyone everywhere is looking for trail help. If you can, please do. Take a saw or chainsaw if you go early. It takes a ton of effort to make these trail ready for everyone to enjoy!!

Let's all be respectful this season. We can't afford to lose trails or people. This is the responsibility of every rider using our trails.

Let’s all be patient and take a collective deep breath. Wait until the green light is given. Educate people without being condescending, instead of attacking them. Mountain riders all work together well, why can’t we? Hopefully this will be the season we’ve all been waiting for and deserve after the last few…🤞❄️

In Wisconsin, the Travel Wisconsin Snow Report is your best tool for trail openings, closings, conditions, and information:
