Troop 12 families — don’t forget our Fall Court of Honor this Sunday at 6:30 PM at First Congregational UCC in Oconomowoc.

We’ll recognize our Scouts for their recent merit badges and advancement, share important fundraising information, hold our Fall Troop Elections, and talk about some of the future high-adventure opportunities ahead for Troop 12.

It’s a great chance to celebrate what our Scouts have accomplished and look ahead to what’s coming next.

A great follow-up to our Order of the Arrow tap-out at Makajawan!

Several of Troop 12’s newly elected OA candidates completed their Ordeal in August at Camp Long Lake, officially becoming members of the Order of the Arrow.

The Ordeal is an important part of the OA induction process and focuses on service, reflection, and the values of Scouting. We’re proud of these Scouts and adults for taking this next step.

This group even included a Troop 12 father and son, pictured together in the lower left of the photo, making the experience a little more memorable.

Also pictured are members of the OA induction team who helped guide the candidates through the weekend. Thank you to them, and congratulations to all of our newest Order of the Arrow members!

Attention Troop 12 Life Scouts and parents — Potawatomi Area Council - Scouting America has another Life to Eagle Workshop coming up on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00–10:30 AM at the Scout Service Center in Waukesha.

This workshop is designed for Life Scouts and their parents or guardians and covers the important dos and don’ts of completing the journey to Eagle. It’s a great chance to better understand the process, expectations, paperwork, project requirements, and what comes next.

If your Scout is at Life rank and starting to think seriously about Eagle, this is well worth attending together.

Another big step on the trail to Eagle for Troop 12!

This past week, one of our Life Scouts completed his Eagle Scout service project at Christ the King Lutheran Church - Delafield, WI. The Eagle project is one of the final major requirements on the journey to Scouting’s highest rank and gives a Scout the opportunity to plan, organize, and lead others in completing a project that benefits the community.

Congratulations on completing this important milestone, and thank you to everyone who came out to help make the project a success!

We’re excited to see another Troop 12 Scout getting closer to Eagle and look forward to celebrating the next steps in his journey.

A great showing by Troop 12 at Brewers Scout Night!

Several of our Scouts joined Pack 212 for the evening and helped their Cub Scouts during their walk around the field. It was a fun opportunity for our older Scouts to spend time with the Pack and support some of the younger Scouts coming up through the program.

Pictured are three Troop 12 Scouts with strong connections to Pack 212: one currently serves as a Den Chief for the Pack’s Wolf and Bear Dens, another came along to help for the evening, and one is a former Pack 212 Den Chief. Another Troop 12 Scout who currently assists with the Pack’s Arrow of Light Den was also there but isn’t pictured.

Thank you to all of our Scouts who took the time to help Pack 212! Serving as a Den Chief or helping at Pack events is a great way for our Scouts to practice leadership, give back to Cub Scouting, and help younger Scouts have a great experience.

Interested in becoming a Den Chief? Den Chiefs are Scouts who work alongside Cub Scout Den Leaders, helping with meetings, activities, games, skills, and serving as a positive role model for younger Scouts. It’s a great leadership opportunity and a fun way to stay connected with the Cub Scout program.

Congratulations to Troop 12’s newest Eagle Scout! 🦅

Today, one of our Scouts successfully completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review, officially becoming Troop 12’s 114th Eagle Scout!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with him and look forward to recognizing his achievement at his upcoming Eagle Court of Honor.

Troop 12 Scouts and families, we have a great opportunity to give back to our community this weekend at the Festival of the Arts!

Volunteers are needed to help with trash and recycling collection throughout the event. Shifts are short, usually just 1–2 hours, so it’s an easy way for Scouts and families to lend a hand.

For Scouts, this is also a great opportunity to earn service hours toward rank advancement while helping keep one of our community’s biggest events clean and running smoothly.

If you have a little time available this weekend, please consider signing up and representing Troop 12 in our community.
