They are testing potential New Merit Badges via SCOUTS BSA TEST LAB!

The Scouts BSA Test Lab is an exciting way to help in the development of fun and interesting new topics unique to the Scouts BSA program. The requirements for each badge have the look and feel of merit badges, but instead of a printed pamphlet, you will find links to digital resources to help you complete the requirements.

IF After the testing and evaluation they make it a merit badge, you've earned it by being part of the testing! :)

We’re proud to share that American Legion Post 91 of Oconomowoc presented a Letter of Recognition for Outstanding Performance to Eagle Scout Jack Brown. Jack earned Eagle Scout on November 2, 2025, led an Eagle Service Project benefiting Stone Bank Community Park, and also played two seasons of American Legion baseball. 

Congratulations, Jack—and thank you to American Legion Post 91 for supporting Scouting and recognizing youth leadership in our community.

Canoecopia (Madison) — March 13–15, 2026 🛶

If you’re going on our Troop’s Boundary Waters trip this June, Canoecopia is a fantastic way to get ready.

Canoecopia is the world’s largest paddlesports expo, packed with gear vendors, trip experts, and workshops that cover everything from canoe camping and packing systems to route planning and safety. It’s also a great place to compare canoes/paddles, find outfitting ideas, and learn what to bring (and what to leave at home).

Where: Alliant Energy Center, Madison
When: March 13–15, 2026 (Fri–Sun)
Bonus: Ages 17 and under are FREE

If you’re a paddling enthusiast in North America, you probably know about Canoecopia, the mecca of paddlesports expos. This annual March event draws thousands of people for three days of workshops and a peek into the newest and best gear of the year.

🇺🇸 Troop 12 Eagle Court of Honor 🦅

A couple of weeks ago, Troop 12 had the honor of celebrating a very special Eagle Court of Honor — recognizing not one, but two brothers who earned the rank of Eagle Scout!

They join a long line of Troop 12 Eagles, becoming Eagle Scout #109 and #110 in our troop’s proud history. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to Scouting values have made a lasting impact on our troop and community.

Congratulations to these outstanding young men and their family — your hard work and example inspire all of us to aim higher! 👏👏

Big congratulations to one of our Troop 12 Scouts!
Today, he successfully completed his Eagle Scout Project at Stone Bank Community Park.

With the help of fellow Scouts from Troop 12 and Troop 169, along with our amazing adult leaders, he built five brand-new tables that will serve the community for years to come.

A huge thank-you to everyone who showed up to lend a hand and support this milestone—this is what Scouting is all about: leadership, service, and teamwork!

Special thanks to Stone Bank Lions Club and R.P. Lumber Company for their generous financial support in making this project possible.

In June, three Troop 12 crews made the trip to Florida Sea Base for an unforgettable adventure! Two crews sailed out of Islamorada for the 6-day Sailing Adventure, enjoying snorkeling, fishing, and life on the open water. Our third crew headed to the Brinton Environmental Center (on Summerland Key) for the Marine Eco Adventure, where they spent six days exploring the Keys—snorkeling, fishing, shark tagging, visiting Key West, building an underwater ROV, and working to preserve the coral reefs.

What an amazing way to kick off summer—full of teamwork, learning, and adventure! ⛵🐠🦈
