🚶‍➡️"Y" I WALK: Support Joe's Journey.

🗓️ Five days. 🧭 Hundreds of miles. 🏫 All of our YMCA branches.

From Oct. 12-16, Joe Ross will trek across our region, walking from Camp Ocoee to Cleveland, Hamilton, North Georgia, Y-CAP, J.A. Henry, Downtown and North River — all to raise support for the Y.

Joe approached us with the idea for this fundraiser as a way to help more people in our community through YMCA programs and services.

Your gift to the 2027 Community Support Campaign helps provide swim lessons, chronic disease management programs, day camp scholarships, income-based memberships and more.

Joe is taking the steps. You can help make every mile count. 💙

We’re proud to celebrate Mike Berry on his induction into the YMCAs of the Southeast Hall of Fame!

A dedicated volunteer, donor and board leader with more than 30 years of service to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga, Mike is only our second Y honoree to receive this distinction.

Through numerous board leadership roles, Mike has provided strategic vision, financial stewardship and thoughtful guidance that have helped advance our growth, strengthen community partnerships and expand our impact.

He leads with integrity, humility and a strong commitment to our mission, inspiring staff, volunteers and board members along the way.

Congratulations to Mike and the Berry family on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for the lasting difference you’ve made for our Y and our community!

Today, we remember the lives lost and the courage, compassion and service that followed Sept. 11, 2001. ❤️

For 175 years, the Y has been a place where communities come together — in times of strength and times of need. We’re proud to continue bringing people together and serving our community.
