INTRODUCING OUR COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT SERIES!

Something new is coming to the 2027 Love of Life Festival!

Inspired by an idea we've had for some time—and feedback from past festival attendees—we're inviting nonprofit organizations to join us and share the valuable work they do throughout our community.

The Love of Life Festival has always been about bringing people together through music, art, remembrance, and the celebration of life. This new addition allows us to expand our circle of reach by connecting festival attendees with organizations offering meaningful programs, resources, and support.

We're excited to welcome Cornerstone Hospice / Cornerstone's Kids and The Dandelion Project as our first two participating Community Partners!
Over the coming months, our Community Spotlight Series will introduce you to these organizations and others joining us in 2027.

Six years ago today, our lives changed forever when we lost our beloved Kayleigh. 💛

We miss her smile, her presence, and all the everyday moments we wish we could still share with her. Six years can feel like a lifetime and yesterday, all at once.

The Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation grew from our love for her—a love that continues through each family we support, each act of kindness, and each gathering that brings our community together.

Grief is carried. Today, we carry ours with love for Kayleigh and gratitude for everyone who remembers her with us.

Forever loved. Forever missed.

What an incredible 33 hours!

As Give4Marion comes to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supports the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation.

From right here in Marion County to friends and supporters across the United States, you showed up for us in a huge way.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, encouraged others to give, and helped spread the word about our mission, THANK YOU!

Your generosity directly supports families grieving the loss of a child through our Grief Week Program, helps aspiring artists through the KLT Memorial Scholarship, and brings people together through music, art, celebration, and remembrance at the Love of Life Festival.

We are also so thankful to the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion, the Matching Moment sponsors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this giving event possible.

What began as a way to honor Kathryn’s life has grown into something that reaches far beyond our family and our local community.

Every gift, every act of kindness, and every new connection helps us continue that work.
