If you haven’t read “Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy” by Mark Vroegop, it’s a great read on the grace of lament. It especially resonates in this community, living in the tension between God’s goodness and the pain of this world as we are. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more from it, but we’re starting here today. We hope that, as many of you sit in this tension, facing the truth of God’s sovereignty but reality of a world with tragedy, you are encouraged and you feel the freedom and grace of lament.

Happy 2022 from Still Waters! I think we can all agree it’s been a strange couple of years, but we’re hopeful and excited for what’s on the horizon. More to come but until then, may we be encouraged that the same God who walks with us in the valley of the shadow also leads us beside still waters, restoring our souls (Psalm 23).
