Oceanside Harbor is an amazing spot for kayaking and sight seeing but it is up to us to keep it clean, dedicate just two hours of your morning to make the beach a better place for everyone. A small light brown (tan) Chihuahua, about 5 or 6 years old, was found on Cadena with no collar or tags. She is very friendly but a little on the thin side. After trying to find her home the Humane Society was called and they collected the dog. If you know the owner or if this is your dog please call them at 760-757-4357 #2622 to claim her, give information or to adopt.

Sponsored by the Oceanside Firefighters and Surf for the Sea, this Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Sept 9-8, Oceanside will hold a memorial benefit for the environment in honor of our local Surfers that have passed away. Watch surfers compete for prizes. All three days from 7AM -5PM at the North Jetty.

Surf for the Sea is an environmental surfing event established in 1996 which honors the lives of influential local surfers who have passed away in recent years.

Tomorrow 5/18, beginning at 11AM Operation Appreciation kicks off in Oceanside. All active duty military members and their families are treated to a day of free food and entertainment at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre.

On Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 19, 2012, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce will bring the business community and area residents together to provide a day of recognition to the Marines and Sailors based on Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton.
